Amy Smart is an American former model and actress. Amy Smart, who was born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. In 1996 she made her first appearance as an actor in the TV film Her Costly Affair. Her fight to secure the role in Starship Troopers, a film which featured only minor characters, was a gruelling battle. It was at first was difficult for Amy to switch from modelling to acting. It's because the majority of models don't have the ability to act. They are typically assigned small and insignificant role. Amy had a determination to be successful and eventually she was offered bigger roles starting in The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. The 2005 romance comedy Just Friends, which also featured Ryan Reynolds, saw her play more prominent roles. It was a huge commercial success, and Amy was finally able to get the recognition that she was trying for for more than 10 years. Amy went on to work in some of the biggest movies, including the Crank series starring Jason Statham as well as Shameless with Jason Statham, in which she portrayed a character who remained in the spotlight for a long time.
