Anna Silk was the first child of Peter Silk (an academic) and Ilkay Silk (a playwright, actor director, producer, and teacher of St. Thomas University). Anna Silk's father was British, as is her mother is is a Turkish Cypriot English expat. Her mother was always watching her working in rehearsals for plays. Early on, Anna appeared on several television commercials. In the month of November, 1999 Anna moved to Toronto to advance her acting career, eventually making the move in Los Angeles, California, in the following decade. Seth Cooperman met Anna at a Los Angeles actor's workshops in 2007. The couple got engaged. Anna became a Jew in 2011, after she converted to Judaism. They were wed in a civil ceremony in December the same year, and they then renewed their vows in the Jewish wedding ceremony that took place in Fredericton, in April 2011. Bo's same-sex romance with Lauren was featured in CNN's most popular television Couples ever, and was named the top Television Couple in 2013 by E! Entertainment Television. Anna's popularity on social networks increased as a result of Anna's show.
