Paula Patton is an actress and producer who is best known for her roles as a lead actress in the action spy movie Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol and the drama film Precious. The majority of her childhood was spent living in Los Angeles where she came from a middle class family. Her mother loved films and instilled the love of movies in her daughter. Paula was involved with her school's cocurricular activities and especially captivated by the dramatic arts. She was a huge fan of acting alongside her peers and was a participant in her school's stage productions. Hamilton Magnet Arts High School provided her with numerous opportunities to be an actor throughout her schooling and she decided to pursue acting to pursue a career. Through a program for summer in the University of Southern California, she had a blast there. The program gave her a three month assignment to make documentaries for PBS. She started as an assistant to production for TV documentaries following her successful completion of the project. In the following years, she transitioned to produce documentaries. Although she enjoyed her career however, she longed for becoming an actress. The path to acting began when she had a minor role alongside Will Smith in the romantic comedy Hitch. In the years since, she has been in numerous film and television shows.
